Tips for rendering with iRay:

Tips for rendering with iRay:
◾ Always use mr Photographic Exposure Control
◾ Only use photometric lights (no other Max Light)
◾ Shadow type and shadow quality settings are ignored by iRay
◾ shadows are always on. This means that they can not be turned off
◾ If shadows are soft / sharp depends on the size of the light source. Larger bulb gives softer shadows and vice versa. Change Emit Light from (Shape) for eg Rectangle in the settings of the light, so the size can be changed.
◾ Use only the Arch & Design material or Autodesk Generic material.
◾ As material for glass panes that are modeled with only one surface, use Arch & Design> Templates> Glass (Thin Geometry)
◾ As material for glass panes which is modeled as a box (physically correct method), use Arch & Design> Templates Glass (Solid Geometry)
