Studio3 (UM3ST3351) – Grass

I made the grass in 3D Max and rendered out my textures. It looked pretty good. I made sprites in unity and placed n the scene, this looked okay too, I felt that I maybe should do this in 3D Max, and import it into Unity, but that did not work as planned. The texture of the 3D model looked like gray plates, but the spites in Unity looked like grass. The challenge now is making and tiling the grass to look good from all sides

But I am sure there is another way to do this… and I need something that can be affected by wind to make the scene come to life. Maybe I can paint the sprite on the ground?
